Best Scenery in the Area + Roman Theatre
This tour is specially designed for those of you wanting to enjoy the best scenery in the area and, at the same time, to have a taste of its rich archaeological history in an easy and convenient way. We will start the tour heading for the coastline, for you to discover the geographic wonder known as Mar Menor (“Little Sea”), an inner salted lagoon spotted with volcanic islands that is separated from the Mediterranean by a 21 kilometer long strip of land that has white sand beaches on both shores. Our next destination is a charming small fishing village where we will do two things: beholding the tallest lighthouse in the Spanish Mediterranean coastline, built over a cape from where fine views can be enjoyed , and having a break to discover interesting seafood restaurants lying by the seaside. In our way back to the city we will drive through the impressive scenery of the mining sierra while telling you about its ancient history, before paying a final visit to the Roman theatre remains and its associated museum. A tour specially suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Tour Duration: 4 hours
Difficulty: None. Two hour long panoramic drive by bus and then going back to the city to pay a visit to the Roman Theatre Museum & Remains, 5 minute walk from the coach.
